End of Easter Event!!! Opinions about it
I really enjoyed the event and hope Niantic do a similar holiday event like this one. 2K eggs hatches some rare Pokémon, discount on Lucky Eggs, and love the double XP.

I enjoyed the event as well. It gave me some Pokemon that I haven't had before: Donphan (tons of Phanpy hatches), Togetic (tons of Togepi hatches), 2 Larvitar, and others. I just hatched a Lapras from a 2 KM egg. I had to spend $10 (egg incubators)
on the event, but I thought it was worth it. Very pleased.
A part of me is happy that it's over because the 10 KM eggs were extremely hard to get. It's crazy to think that they'll be easier to get now. Of course that means an increase in 5 KM eggs. sigh
I liked the event, finally got my only 10km egg 2 hours ago (hatched 60-70 eggs). Had 12 new pokémon I need 12 more for the dexes (without region exclusives and stuff). I was saving evos for a double xp and I managed to get 1,750,000 xp. Lv 32 to 34. But now I'm exhausted :P I gonna take a 4 days pogo break I think :P
In the end, super good event for rural player like myself IMO :)
I think it was a great event for new/newish players. There was a great variety of pokemon in the 2K eggs.
That being said it's kinda difficult to get much out of it when you are already level 30 or above. There is just too little that you really need. So hatching 50 eggs and getting 1 or 2 good or at least decent ones can be a little frustrating.
I myself wanted to level up from 33 to 34. I managed that day 3. Now I am 250000 XP short of level 35 - so I am very happy with my progress. I used a total of 9 lucky eggs - all for mass evolutions. At the end I think it was a good thing that I was saving my candies since I was told so.
Now I really really need a foot massage - and then a double stardust event - I have a lot of powering up to do.
I enjoyed having no fear of dud hatches from the 10k eggs, and even the 2k eggs were mostly not disappointing. I hatched a ton of eggs and spent more money on this event than on any other. Very fun event. Wish there had been a change in the spawns, though, even a minor one would have enriched the event.
Hope the duds never return to the egg pool.
It could have been better.
- I had 3 lucky eggs and brought 50. I now have 40 left due to accidently using a few due to lag when scrolling in the item bag.
- 2K eggs. Annoying. I only managed to get 7 10K event eggs, about 10 5K eggs and tons on 2K eggs that were useless. I would have preferred half walking distance instead of increase 2K egg chances.
- its currently 90 minutes after the event end time and I'm still getting 2X exp.
- I managed to gain al little over 2 million EXP which only got me 1 level, I need another 400K to get to the next level.
- Every first day catch and spin was used with lucky egg to maximize the 4x EXP but the only winners on this one are the ones who had their first day spin/catch fall on a Thursday but most users days fall on a Sunday.
Overall, I enjoyed this event.
I walked about 75 km and hatched 48 eggs.
Unfortunately, I only got 1 x 10 km egg (a Larvitar) and 11 x 5 km eggs (which helped me get a Typhlosion and a good way to a Maganium - I already had a Feraligator), with the rest being 2 km eggs (2 x Lapras, but no Aerodactyl).
I still have 9 x 2 km eggs to hatch though.
Used my coins on incubators and not lucky eggs, so only got 480 k XP.
I really enjoyed it. I got a ton of good stuff and built up massive candy stores that may become invaluable for future evos or gym changes.
I liked the egg switchup and while I'm fine with a certain amount of disappointing mons being in the 10K egg group I'm definitely for less of them. This could easily be adjusted by rarity tiers changing for the mons of different eggs without a ton of crazy easy pulls or too much rarity on the 10K eggs themselves. It could also be adjusted by permanently removing some complete garbage mons from the overall egg pool or shifted to a more rare tier. Nothing crazy- but for real, give me pidgeys before at least 10 mons that hatch with zero use to me.
I really liked the event (still running, but will probably end any time now).
Double XP allowed me to level up and get me half way through level 33.
The modified eggs (or whatever we should call it) was nice.
Sure, a lot of them gave me stuff I wasn't really interested in, but a few was good. And getting Gen 2 starters from 5km eggs was really nice.
I am happy with double XP and gained over 1 million Xp. Worked my butt off to do it.
But overall I think this was an unimaginative event. Double XP is great, yes. But the 2k egg event wasn't very special. Also no special Pokémon spawns like we've Had with all the other events (no easter Pikachu? No increased spawns of rare Pokémon?)
Valentines was awesome, but the mass chansey and exeggute spawns probably should have been saved for Easter ;)
It was awesome! Although I couldn't walk as much as I wanted to (work, that annoying activity, inerfered LOL) I leveled up to 33 and am well on the way to 34.
Never having hatched a lapras, I am now the proud trainer of 4 (2 male, 2 female). One of them is my first 100% IV mon and has ice moves.
I also got 2 more aerodactyls (had 2 already; love that mon).
Hatched my first larvitar from a 10k (they don't spawn here, he'll be my next buddy). Also got a dratini and a mareep with one 10k still incubating.
Other firsts include sneasel, muk, and shuckle (2).
Very pleased with gen 2 starters in 5k eggs -got enough cyndaquil, which don't spawn here, to put a typhlosion within reach (after walking).
Overall, great event, but I'm kinda glad it's over.... walked 8 miles today! Hoping for more like this in the future.
P.S. Still waiting for that elusive porygon.
