Egg hatching random?

Hey,

Are the egg hatches random? Or depended from the pokéstop? I've hatched my 5th Oddish and 3rd caterpie in a row.

Certainly not random. When I get a 10 km egg from the Pokestop which I reach from my office, then the chances that I get a Chansey or Dratini are very high. I fact, I never hatched one of those two from an egg which I didn't get from this particular Pokestop.

This is like the fact that some people are claiming when they have pikachu as buddy they are often hatching pikachu.
I also tried it a very long long time but guess what....my buddy wasnt hached.
Sry but I can't verify your statement. This will need much more empirical work.

My hatches are random.

I can verify with 300+ eggs from one spot and 300+ from another. Completely different. I could add to that comment now with much more hatches from spot 2 that supports the info.

The buddy thing sounds like garbage though.

nevertheless i am still skeptical. Of couse the are differences, there are 71 mons to hatch.
If you are ALWAYS getting the eggs from ONLY two different stops and you can verify them afterwards. Then maybe you can keep a record in form of a table or sth. I would be very interested in that.

btw. how does it come you only get your eggs from two stops? This seems obviously weird, but I will try to begin verifying maybe in the next days.

My town is void of stops.Sorry I didn't mean two stops, I meant stops very close together. A lake is close that has a few. And the town square has quite a bit.

Since switching to the square I have evolved voltorb, vulpix, magnemite, Pikachu. I didn't didn't get any of those before. At all. Also FIVE snorlax hatches since switching to square. Before it was krabby,horsea, staryu, slowpoke, etc

It's just a clear difference from only getting eggs in one spot(water) for so long then switching to another(city/industry?).

I suspect most people immediately get another egg from the closest stop after hatching an egg which contaminates the data. I don't do that. I have specifically go to get eggs since I have no stops within 15 min drive.

I'll try to verify this. Quite interesting.

Probably random, sorry for you to hatch weak Pokémon like caterpies, oddish is not that bad because it can be evolved two times and a another evolution in the Gen 2.
