Egg hatch bug?

Hi,

I'm lvl 25 and I just got an ponyta from an egg, I see and looks like it has really low CP for lvl 20, but it's a wonder and I verify it by seeing it needs 2500 stardust for power up.

In the IV calculator It said there isn't a posibility, I re open the ponyta and it looks like it needs only 1600 for power up, so with that change everything works and it's a 93.3% lvl 14.

The question is, what happened?
As I said I'm lvl 25, I know that egg lvl depends on the lvl you got it no lvl you hatch it but I doubt that I still have it after all this time.
And also I'm pretty sure I checked the 2500 stardust.

Anyone had a similar problem?

I think the most likely explanation is either that your egg was really old or that you have somehow mixed 2 Pokémon with each other.

It isn't mixed, it's my only ponyta with blue background meaning it's from the last 24 hours.

I suppose it's that it's old and I didn't really check the stardust correctly. But it's really unlikely
