Egg data collection thread and early results (7:51 EST 4/14)

We are collecting egg hatch data and presenting it in this thread. If you are tracking your hatches please post them here. To make sure that the data is relevant please include the following information:

Egg type-Mon type
Please do not post info about eggs acquired BEFORE the event even if they were hatched after the start.

Early research will be badly skewed towards 2K egg hatch percentages as some folks will hatch many 2K eggs before their 10Ks are hatched. That is OK and the data should even out.

I am gathering hatch data from other sites and already have 200 hatches registered. When I add what is posted in this thread I will make another thread with some early returns on our data. I will start a new thread every time a large quantity of data is added since these threads cannot be pinned or be near the top. Each thread will have an adjusted date in the title.

A couple early tidbits:

So far only gen 2 starters have been reliably reported to hatch from 5K eggs.

Many Pokes are not appearing to hatch during this event so far like Nidorans, Oddish, Goldeen, Ekans, and DIglett. Of course this is very early to draw any conclusions.

So far Lapras, Aerodactyl, Skarmory, and Militank seem to be hatching from 2K eggs with about average rarity compared to other Mons within these eggs. But folks are more likely to report a data set with these mons in it and 200 eggs are too few to draw any real conclusions.

Of the 200 eggs so far recorded 91.41% have been 2k, 5.56% have been 5K, 3.03% have been 10K. Hopefully more hatches will add some clarity to the current drop rates.

Hatched one 2k egg and it was Lapras. I have also spun 4 eggs total so far and all were 2k

I will add the Lapras to our data set but please make sure to post what you get from those newly aquired 2Ks as it will skew the data badly if I only include the desirable hatches that folks post.

It was the only after event egg I have hatched so far. Still hatching the old ones.

Got lapras, lickitung, magby, shelder, ghastly, skarmory, misdreveous, Grimer and Rhyhorn. All from 2 km's. my 5ks are close to hatching and I'll let you know what I get from them

An eevee hatched from a 2k egg.

15 eggs since event start.. 14 2k, 1 5k.

Scyther, Smoochum, Elekid, Tyrogue,
Wooper from 2k. Also either a Stantler or Kabuto from 2k. I had 3 5k already in incubator before event started.

That is the first Kabuto I have seen hacthed since the event started so I'm going to assume it was the pre event 5K egg. I will add the others and omit the Kabuto as an anomaly. Stantler has been confirmed from 2K.

Scyther(76IV), Togepi (89IV), Grimer(80IV)

erm, very bad for first day
1. 5km - Chikorita
2. 2km - Sneasel (638stardust + 10 candy), phanpy(791+13), Skarmory(800 + 13)
other normal 2km - 2 x balbasaur, 1x igglybuff and 2 x Slowpoke

It was a slow day. I have more that are close but I will save them for the next post.

SIDE NOTE My last egg to hatch from eggs gained prior to the event was a 10km Pineco, that came with 34 candies. So eggs gained prior to the event did get increased candy - but this is probably already a known thing.

It has been noted that the pre event eggs get a small amount of increased candy as all eggs do. I guess something is better than nothing.

I think folks will be interested to know that the only reliable reports of 10K eggs hatched that were collected after the event start so far are Dratini, Snorlax, Chansey, Larvitar, and Porygon. If this holds up it appears that during this event any 10K collected has a great chance of being something that has value.

Thanks for that...I do have a 10km picked up so I should be able to add to that data in the next post.

Overall, I'm a little disappointed in the "extra" candy from the eggs. It seems to be only 1 to 3 extra, on average.

This is the first Gligar anyone has claimed to have hatched from post event 10K eggs with 321 registered hatches.

Very uneventful for me so far. Hatched five 2km eggs that I got after the event started.

Results: Aipom, Squirtle, Lickitung, Smoochum, Shuckles.

All of them are more or less useless to me, but I guess to a new player it would be pretty decent. For me it was a complete waste of good incubators. I don't normally ever use incubators for 2km eggs, but did so in the excitement of the event. Probably won't do it again.
