Easter Event over hyped

Well, I just hatched my first (hatched) snorlax this morning, also got a Chikorita, Cyndaquill and Totodile, plus like 4 Togepy and a couple of miltanks. My gf also opened her first larvitar. While the event didn't get to the halloween/valentine's event's heigths, I'd consider it succesful.

Seriously 40 eggs and sudo-useless-woodo is the best you've got? I'm glad I haven't bought any incubator for this event. It isn't overhyped for me though as 2x exp and 4x exp when using lucky egg are the things I was looking forward to in this event.

I agree, hatchings haven't been great. The XP bonus is what I am going for, I've earned around a million XP since the start, and I'm only playing 1-2 hours a day.

Best hatch from 2Ks was lol Milktank for me.

yep the egg component isn't great maybe if they had of matched it with discounted incubators or special 5 use incubators or something.

The 10 km eggs are better then usual with only porygon (the only 10km i got) as a real dud but they have diluted the pool so much that getting a 10km egg seems harder then normal so the chance at snorlax/chancey is probably no better then normal and dratini/larvitar may have actually gone down.

I also have mostly hatched Growlithe (super common here) and Wooper (like I needed more). I've had a few 10k moved to 2k hatches but they were Skarmory, Sudowoodo, and Miltank.... all of which are pretty common in the dry biome and none of which had good IVs. I feel your pain.

I did get allot of crap pokemon but I personally didn't care :-) . I'm just in it for the 4X EXP.

My only good hatches were:
- Miltank 87% T/S
- Miltank 93% T/BS
- Pichu 100% TS/DV (crap moveset)

I've hatched plenty of junk in this event because I've simply hatched a lot of eggs. What I have accomplished is -

2 Laprases, one with FB/IB @85%.

91% Snorlax with ZH/HS

2 Larvitar, one is 91%

2 Dratini

2 Mareeps

1 Porygon

1 Chansey

2 96% Eevees

3 93%+ Onixes

98% Blastoise

Other stuff I'm forgetting.

Went from nearly no Machop candy to 144.

I am a little disappointed at the amount of candy we get with hatches that were 10km eggs prior to the event. Getting a nice mon without the candy to make it useful is a little frustrating, but other than that, I don't see a major problem.

Also...DOUBLE XP is something I can't find a problem with.

I hatched 3 grimer in 3 days. Before the event had hatched 1 grimer in 10 months. Also hatched my second Lapras ever. From a 10k egg got a Chansey. Not too bad.

I wouldn't say it's overhyped. Atleast not if you take everything into account. Half price on Lucky Eggs and double XP is really nice.

As for the eggs, well I'm not too disappointed.
I didn't expect to get loads of uncommon Pokemon from my 2km eggs. I mean, you can't expect a Lapras from every other egg.

I've hatched quite a few eggs so far and while most have been rather disappointing (although getting Charmander and Bulbasaur was nice as they rarely spawn here) i did get a few Machops which got me to 125 candies and in the end I got a Lapras.

I also got my first Cyndaquil from a 5km egg. Really nice.

And the double XP will allow me not only to get to level 33, but also a fair bit on the way to 34.
I'm not complaining :)

Overall, the Easter hatches have been worse than before. Pre-event, running 9 incubators at 20k per day, I averaged 3-5 10k eggs per day. Overall, my stardust to incubator ratio was much better. The candy reward wss also better. I have yet to receive a 10k during this event.

On the other hand, I've banked 1M XP, so far, breezing through level 33.

Tonight's jog was very disappointing, but before tonight I've hatched some good stuff. I got an ok lapras that I ground up for candy, a 100 IV smoochum, 3 skarmory and 2 onix.

Can't say anything about the variety (most eggs are crap anyway), but I did notice the IVs are lower than usual. Before the event, most hatches were above 80%, now it apears most are between 67 and 80%, including all the starters I hatched and a Snorlax (out of a 10k, as usual).

I had three bad hatches (Eevee, Pichu, Gastly) and four good ones (Dratini, another Dratini, my first Togepi and the Machop I needed to finally get my first Machamp). Also caught my first Phanpy yesterday and my first Forretress today. Just hit level 33 too!
