So this is real, right? Theres actually dratini raids now? Also, what are the shiny odds for it if it is a raid, stil the 1/450~ of a normal encounter?

The shiny ratio from raids is closer to 1/20, and yep, they're real. Someone reported one in my area about a half hour ago.

Shiny ratio for most mons from raids is the normal 1/450.

1/20 is the rate for legendaries (although Zapdos had 1/10) and rates between 1/35 and 1/70 have been found for the raid exclusives Absol and Mawile as well as the event boosted shinies Aerodactyl and Pineco.

I guess if I couldn’t solo tier 3 raids I would be excited about a tier 1 raid as well

It's an easy target for the "Catch a Dragon type" research. Dratini candy makes it a more ideal target than A-Eggy.

Most likely the normal 1/450 like Magikarp, Swablu, Shuppet, Kabuto etc.

The Dratini raids are pretty good for people who missed the CD or those still hunting for good IV versions otherwise. But I think Niantic missed a lot of profit by not introducing them earlier when Dragonite was more relevant in the meta. It's still a great mon, but Ray and Lati raids already came and went.
