Dragonites and movesets

I have a 787 cp 96% iv dragonite (1st dragonite, I evolved it due to high ivs) with steel wing and hyperbeam, is this move set great for defending or attacking? Should I keep and invest or ditch?

I also recently got a 1248 cp 100% iv Dragonair.
(I will evolve this guy first to see the move set before I decide if I want to ditch or power up my 96 iv dragonite, so I have an attacking dragonite and defender dragonite.)

Short answer: save dust and candies for your Dragonair

Exactly, don't touch the other dragonite before you evolve your Dragonair. Then just hope for a decent moveset.

The question is:
why would you evolve a Dratini / Dragonair to get a 787 CP Dragonite?
That was a complete waste of candy.
