Dragonite Question

I have 187 dragonite candy and a 82% Dratini (12/10/15). I already have a L30 DT/Hurricane Dragonite, but want to add a DT/Outrage Dragonite to my stable.

The question - should I evolve the 82%er? I've been waiting to hatch or catch one in the 90s IV, but it seems I've been waiting for over a month...

Thanks

If that is a Level 20 Dratini, I vote that you wait another month if you have to (assuming that 10 is for attack).

I’ve been waiting since I started playing the game last year. Over halfway to 40 by XP and still don’t have a Dragonite registered. Have 312 candies but am also waiting on a 91%+ IV. At this point , I honestly don’t even need him because I’ve built my team up pretty good.
Do you need another one and how often can you obtain candies without dumping rare candies? You’re still going to need more after wasting 125 if you really want any use out of it.

Depends on your biome.

In mine, with some effort, one can catch two or three Dratini per day and hardcore players can catch five to ten per day, so even a 91% may not be good enough for me. On the other hand, I have only caught three Lapras, all during water/ice events, so I would be more than happy with an 82% (which I sadly do not have).

I live near a lake, but I come across one every 3 days or so. I think catching a 90% in the wild, where they roll 0-15 on all three IVs, at this rate, is pretty remote.

Another factor is whether you only use the infinite incubator (like me) or pay to incubate nine eggs simultaneously. Of course, the latter gives you a good chance to hatch a better Dratini (but is very expensive).

It depends on what level it is at. If it is level 27+, go for it. If it is level 20, don't. That is only average for a hatched Mon. You have already punched the dex, so be patient. A month ain't nothing. I'm averaging 1 Dragonite every 5 months (and am happy to have them).
