Dragonite Power up - Advice Needed
Yet another Dragonite question:
I am at Level 30, and finally got enough Dratini candy to evolve my first Dragonite after the Halloween event because I used Dratini as my buddy. I chose to evolve my highest IV Dratini at 91% 15/14/12 but its CP was low. I ended up with a 1435 CP Dragonite with Dragon Breath / Hyper Beam. So, I was going to power him up as much as I could, but was wondering if I should wait for another Dragonite in hopes of a better moveset (i.e. DB/DC or DB/DP). I currently have 75 Dratini candies, so I guess I could patiently walk more and try to get a second Dragonite with possibly better IV and moveset... but really what are the chances? I really want an ATT Dragonite. The benefit is I can get a second Dragonite in my line up, but the risk is that it may be a suboptimal moveset or a DEF moveset and I just blew all my candy that I could have used to power-up my current Dragonite. Let me know if I should power up my current Dragonite blowing all candy and likely most of my stardust... or get that second Dragonite. I know is comes down to personal preference at the end, but just curious what others would do. Thanks for any replies.

Thanks everyone. I guess what I am debating is whether it's better to try to get 2 dragonites now, or screw it and just blow the candy/startdust now power up the one I have now. Not really saying that my current Dragonite sucks. Anyway, seems like consensus is to power up now instead of working on getting 2nd Dragonite.
Props man!
I am actually not sure if I would power it up all the way or kinda do 50/50. Really depends how many Dratini you find usually. If there are many you can power it up and collect quickly, but I you needed 3-4 months for one like I did I do not want to wait so long again but rather have a monster now.
If you want a Dragonite to play with right now, power up your current one. Hyper Beam is not a bad move, it's just not as good as Dragon Claw or Pulse. Twister on Gyarados, that's a bad move.
IVs are less useful the higher a pokemon's base stats are. Dragonite has one of the best base stats in the game, that even a 0% IV Dragonite with Steel Wing + Hyper Beam will still be more useful as an attacker than most of the pokemon in the game.
Assuming Dratinis/Dragonairs in the wild don't have sufficient IVs to be worth evolving and are only there to save you 15/20 km of walking (if you transfer them or not) then you need to hatch a Dratini from a 10k egg and even then, >90% IVs are still rare.
On top of that, you need to get enough candies to evolve it, and then when you evolve it, you still only have a 1/3 chance of getting the moveset you want (DB + DC/DP).
If you don't get it, then you've wasted all that time and candy trying to get a Dragonite that would have been barely better than the one that you currently have if you powered it up.
