Dragonite Dragon Breath/Hurricane

I used a charged TM on a Dragonite with DB/HB, and got Hurricane.
How does DB/Hu compare with DB/Outrage and DT/Hurricane?

I just went through this yesterday. I got Hurricane, but wanted Outrage. EDIT: Used another charge TM and got Outrage. Outrage provides higher DPS, can be used twice as much, and is the same power. While I understand Hurricane is a great counter for Machamp at this time, raid bosses will probably be rotated. For me I have found damage per energy use to be more important than the quickness of the move. Yes, I miss some dodges, but with 5 other highly capable pokemon it rarely makes a difference. Also I have two other dragon tail hurricane Dragonites which work great, but wanted a high IV, high CP one with Outrage. According to a couple different sources I use for moves, DT/O is the highest DPS moveset, and DB/O is second. Hurricane just has underwhelming power for a one bar, despite it being one of the quickest to use in the game. I am perfectly okay with outrage taking its time, and going back to spamming breaths.

I just powered it up to level 30 last night, so hoping to try it out today.

The cool down is just too long for outrage, and the endurance for H is better (especially fighting 2 bar charge move boss).

Besides Machamp, Hurricane is also good against bug and grass. But Venusaur and Exeggutor have better counters.
The only other thing DB/Hu will be good for is dodging, I guess.

A Dragonite with Double Dragon might be the best generalist attacker in the game. However, I fell like generalist are a lot less important since the STAB/SE changes.

You pretty much always wanna use a SE attacker for the huge damage buff. Dragon is only strong against itself, so you usually get hit by SE damage yourself. That's why I think Hurricane movesets are pretty great now. Great against Machamp/Eggs, and even if raid bosses change there propably will always be a few fighting/grass amongst them.

Directly from this website:

Outrage is the most damage effective charge move.  A great combination of everything.

Dragon Claw and Hurricane are great for dodgers who value potion efficiency due to their low move durations.

If survivability, potions and revives are not an issue, than Outrage is the clear winner in my opinion.

I think that it is good to have an Outrage DNite and a Hurricane for coverage. I would not recommend changing Hurricane to Outrage but would work toward an Outrage in the future. Part of this is the 50% change that you go back to Hyper Beam.

I have two DT/O and I just got Hurricane from a TM and am very happy about it.
