Dragonite Disappointment

I just made a 93% dragonite and got the moves steel wing/hurricane. Is this thing even worth keeping? Or should I transfer it. It really sucks making 1 dragonite every 2 months and getting terrible moves. My other one has steel wing/dragon claw.

Don't transfer! It's worth 1 candy, and you may regret the decision (for some unknown, unforeseen reason) in the future; that 1 candy can be made up by walking 5km (3 miles).

SW/H is the fastest non-legacy moveset, in that both the fast and charge move have the shortest cooldown of the currently available moves (excluding DB/DC; legacy moves). It's not ideal now but it may have some value (such as trading value) in the future

i have an SW/H that i use daily! It is VERY useful so do not transfer! The IVs of mine are worse than yours (87%), but I still powered mine up to 31Lvl and it can kill just anything, including any Blissey. I'd be very happy if i were you!

unlucky but definitely don't transfer it !

i find it crazy that people consider transferring such rare and strong pokemon just for a single candy, even with sub-optimal movesets.

For the sake of a single candy...in other words walking 5km with it as a buddy would give the same result? I would happily go walk 5km if it rewarded me with a Dragonite regardless of its moves.

There CP numbers and base stats alone still outclass many other Pokemon in the game.

You should transfer....

I kid, but "1 Dragonite every 2 months" is annoying to any other player who gets their 1st Dragonite after 10 months...(w/ SW/HB of course...).

You nailed it! 90% of PoGo player may take as disrespectful the question "I got a 93% dragonite, should I transfer it?" or the complaint "1 dragonite every 2 months". lol

Definitely don't transfer...unless you start getting 1 dragonite every month!!! ;)

Niantic likes to change the power of movesets. Maybe 2 yrs from now that will be the best one. Niantic tries hard to keep us deleting our mons.

I caught a wild dragonair that was such high CP I evolved it despite its 47% IVs. Fortunately it got Dragon Tail/Outrage. So I guess it's: what matters more- IVs or movesets? Either way a Dragonite is worth more than 1 dratini candy so if u don't power up just keep hunting don't transfer. Everyone gets screwed by movesets everynow and then.

the funny thing is i've evolved 9 dragonites and ive gotten nearly every combination. lucky enough to get two with db/dc and two with dt/o. they were all at least 82% ivs too which is great. the only unlucky part was that the one 100% iv one i got has sw/o. not the worst moveset though...

theres only four combos i never got/ have yet to get. they were the two legacy db/dp (always wanted that) and db/hb, as well as the current dt/h and dt/hb (zero desire for that one).
