Dragonite big dilemma

Power up it all the way up, still OK at defense, thanks to Steel Wing.

Now I feel slighty bad bragging about my midnight Dragonite I caught in the wild (see the question I posted only seconds after this one). I hope you'll experience something similar in the near future also! :)

My first Dragonite has the same moveset. It is always good to have a Pokemon you can place above a Blissey, so I'd probably go for it.

I have over 10 Dragonites, and guess which one has won the most battles? One with Steel Wing / Hyperbeam! I think this is just luck, but it shows bad moveset is not the end of the world. When people face your dragon in a gym, they don't know what moves it has.

There is a dodge bug atm and even u dodge a dragonite hyperbeam it kills you (sort of).
and idk when niantic gonna fix it so might take a while.
Also hyperbeam can be usefull to attack.

This is still a dragonite. Any kind of dragonites can dominate most of battles. So I would prefer to power it up, but better to level 30 only.

You didn't hack my account did you? Same story. I'm powering mine. Dragonites (and Garys) are more about gym placement than being great defenders.

:) As always the best answer is the wait and see approach. Walk w/ it till you have enough candies to power it up to a useful level and if nothing appears by then go for it, but hopefully a Dragonite w/ DT/O or Hu will pay you a visit.
