Double Ground Groudon

My guess is because of how long it takes for EQ to hit. Then again, Solarbeam also takes just as long, and while the cooldown for SB is a bit longer than EQ, it certainly hits harder than EQ, even without stab. But, EQ with stab and weather boost might top SB for Groudon, though.

Solar Beam is stronger than Earthquake...

It is certainly the safest moveset going forward. However he is strong enough that a non stab set like SoB rates well in sims. Be careful though; this isn’t a new phenomenon and when a certain attacker gets to raid mons who his targeted stab sets can go after the rankings can change.

Grass is a more relevant attacking type than Ground and Solar Beam variants are good on that front.

If, one day Groudon gets to learn Bullet Seed or Razor Leaf, will it become the best grass attacker ?
