Double ground Golem

I know Golem has slightly lower attack stat than Rhydon. But the difference is only 11 or about 5%, yet many people think that it is worth double TMs, even if it's already level 30.
Apart from slightly worse stats and candies being harder to obtain, are there any other reasons why double ground Golems get so much hate?
Also, a quick poll below.

Would you use double TMs on a level 30 Mud Slap/Earthquake Golem?
Thumbs up to TM, thumbs down to keep.

why would you waste his potential with ground moves. He is the best rock attacker at the moment. And the only one who benefits from double rock moves, which makes him a top 3 counter. Good counter for every legendery bird especially against moltres and ho-oh.

Sudowoodo has double rock move, and is a lot of fun to use in battle. Just say'n.

If it's double ground or double rock I keep it as is. If it's mixed I go with double rock. But that's just me I guess.

i have plenty of double rock golems
i have about 3 double earth rhydons
i don't really want to spend tms on other rydons when i know they will be evolved away.

answer keep double earth golems (although so saying at the moment tms are easier for me to come across then dust.

It isn't that dbl ground are getting hate...it is just that double rock are getting the love.
If you want dbl ground then Rhydon is clearly a better option.

It is about the love of rock, not the hate for ground.

My 100% Golem started with double ground, I considered to keep as it is, but when I try to fast TM the other one to RT, I accidentally changed the 100% one. Then I have to continue to charge TM it, and got RB. After some raids, I felt RB too slow, now it is RT/SE!

the only reason to play now is for the high level raids, and the 3 birds and lugia are weak to rock and resistant to ground.
