Donphan

I don't think it is worth evolving, the moves are quite bad right now as it stands. I hope they do give Donphan new moves, along with some other stuff (fairy quick move for the fairies etc)

I finally got Counter/EQ which I've nearly maxed... def plan on not evolving anymore until his moves are updated though.

On my last lucky egg to get to 38, I evolved a 93 IV Phanpy that got T/PR. I do have a 98 IV C/PR, which is his current best defensive set, that I want to max out once this gym rework hits, assuming this is still a viable moveset.

I think Counter, Play Rough and even Earthquake are all great.
The problem is Donphan doesn't have a great matchup.
By the way, Donphan is probably a better defender than Rhydon, Gyarados and Tyranitar, because it only has 1.25 weaknesses. Though CP are lower, so not used.
I have 3-4 90+IV
...but I'm waiting for a 91+ (15 HP iv) Counter PlayRough to max out.

I love out Donphan looks- I am in a dilemma I have a 91% C/EQ at level 24 and 100% C/HS at level 20 with 100 candies. Waiting on gym rework to power anything up but I do not know which to power up between these two :(

Om very quick summary. One he is a pretty strong Defender. With C/PR or C/HS. Also he is a very fun attacker into Tyranitar with either C/PR or C/HS. Plus he looks so cool and a very respectable max cp of 3022 so yeah he is awesome go for it. Sadly I only have 33 candies :(

I was bummed when my 100IV Phanpy learned Tackle/Play Rough, but Donphan's tackle is super fast and Play Rough hits Dragonites and Tyrantiars super hard. Yeah, but like everyone said, no more evolves until another rebalancing.
