Does DT really hit harder than DB? (Dragonite)

Me and my friend just battled a gym a made an interesting experience.
We both battled the same Snorlax ( about 2400 CP) with our Dragonite's. They are both evolved from the exact same Dratini. (Dragonite now: 2823 CP , HP:11 AT:15 D:13 , 86.7%) The first one got DT/Hurricane, the other has DB/Dragon Pulse ( they're both still on 2823 CP). We both were at 63 (+- 0.5 s) seconds when the Snorlax fainted. We just doged the chargemove( EQ) but we didnt doge a single quickmove (Lick). So as you see, the damage of our two movesets is equal. Dodging is much easier with DB tough. So DB should be better than DT, right? And theres also DB/DC existing which would be even stronger.
So what do u guys think? Which moveset is better? Is it worth powering up that legacy moveset(DB/DP)?

Here's a simulation. In this case, DT/H took more time and you took more damage, but the time difference was barely 2 seconds. If you would have dodged all attacks until snorlax used his special, you likely would have come out with more HP with DT/H. I think DB/DP is still playable even though most calcs won't side with it. It really depends how you battle and how good you are. Does it matter being potion/revive efficient if you visit 100 pokestops a day - not really. I think depending on the rarity of dratini in your location, unless you find something "better", both could max this guy out without seeing much of a difference in results.

First Link is DT/H vs ZH/BS 2400 cp.
Second is DB/DP vs same snorlax.

Did you both battle the same snorlax one after another as a test?

Is DB/DC still considered the best moveset?

You're going to have biased answers on both sides. People with DB/DC want there legacy Dragonite to still be relevant and people without them will want to be able to claim that they have the best MS too.

Yea I asked this as part of a question this morning: Do I power up my 89 iv DB/DC but I don't know who has what and where the evidence is

If pvp battles are anything like gym battles, I would much rather have a db/DC over the dt/or due to the short cooldown periods, IF pvp turns out to be similar to current gym battles

I have DB/DC and also DT/Hu dragonites. For attacking I will tell you that DB/DC is much better. DB/DC brings out the best in an attacking Dragonite. I dodge everything and it destroys gyms by feinting multiple defenders. It's also more potion efficient AND more fun. I think it's a better generalist attacker than the Godzilla mon due to the many vapes in gyms and lack of Lapras in gyms since the big time nerf.

Thank you for taking the time. That's the most useful advice I have gotten on the subject and it is tough to know where to spend such rare candies.

I would still hold off on spending dust until gamepress releases its official list just to be safe. I am a little biased because I have a 100% IV DB/DC Dragonite. It's my crown jewel and I'm looking forward to seeing how gamepress actually ranks it against all MS including new ones such as DT/O on offense. I just can't imagine any moves that would be better than DB/DC if you're a dodger. Especially now that DC is a 3 bar charge move. Kinda insane. Haha

Wow that comparison bodes extremely well for DT. If DT managed to keep up despite the enormous disadvantage of Hurricance wrt DP, then it's gonna be insane with OR.

DT-OR is something like 31.5 cycle DPS it's pretty ridiculous damage output, it's just not very flexible for dodging and you're going to take damage. You'd get wrecked against a Body Slam Snorlax, for instance.
