Dodging... help
The "yellow" flash has never prominently displayed on my screen.
I always learned the animations, and dodged based on the animations/pause.
I am finding a few moves quite difficult to dodge.
Hydro Pump, Stone Edge, Psychic, Future Sight.
Any tidbits

I thought I'm the only one :). I also take 4 out of 5 hydro pumps and I think I took every single Stone Edge. Prestiging against my C/P Exe is easy right until my mon gets wasted by Psychic :).
I think I dodge the last HP by anticipating it based on Vape small pause and start dodging. But I feel like it was more luck than good observation.
Based on that, for me currently HP Vap and SE Rhydon are the defenders producing the most damage (except BS Snorlax :) ). It crossed my mind to fight HP Vap with another HP Vap so I can safely take the hit and move on the next Rhydon.
TL/DR Damage window both for HP and SE now is very soon, 900ms and 700 ms respectively, compared to 3300ms for Hyper Beam.
BTW, also Twister hits early, but at least it is a lot less power.
Aqua Tail which is very short, however hits later, after 1200ms.
Water Pulse was horrible on my old iPhone 5. But then Pokemon Go in general also experienced some slowdown when opening the app, clicking on pokemon/gyms, navigating menus, etc. It was just especially noticeable in battles when the frame rate dropped so low.
As for the yellow flashes, I have to crank up screen brightness if I am battling gyms during the day. It is a lot easier at night because there is more contrast between the dark night background and the yellow flash.
Hydro pump comes extremely fast now and does some serious damage, especially if you are prestiging the gym with 'lesser' mons.
Just have to be ready for it and hope you don't lag. Stone Edge hasn't really changed much and has always been very quick/fast so I'm usually ready for it. HP will take some getting used to.
