Do you use the Starpieces?

Personally I think it’s better to save them for a future double dust event

I run 4 10k eggs and 2 5k, used star pieces and got totally 20k stardust, 6500 more than normal, so I think it worth it!

Grinding stardust has already become easier with raid rewards and weather-boosted catches.

I would stack 7 day streak, 9 incubators with 10/5km eggs and incense at the center of city for max spawns. The rest can wait for dust event.

I tried them, but 50% more for only 30 minutes isn't usually worth it. Since they're only in boxes I'll save most of them for a double dust event.

6 hour star pieces (like lures) would be nice for a future event.

I think the idea of this item sucks. It gives only 50% extra instead of the expected 100%.

Hatching eggs has to be much more precise and calculated so that it could be hatched within the half hour that star piece offers. (Well, you know the eggs are not accurately hatched by just exact distance walked, sometimes you have to walk more or wait for the distance to show up.)

Other use of it than hatching does not exist.

Except there is a double stardust event, which would be super rare obviously, you could grind a bit more portion of stardust, which is in my opinion not worth it.

I think 50% is more balanced than 100%. Gamepress made calculations that catching boosted crobat is 625sd, +50% = 930sd, +100% would be 1250 stardust for single pokemon. That is 12.5 times more than before.
It is true that cordinating 2/5/10km eggs to hatch within 30min requires some effort, but you can start incubating all eggs day before and just walk until they are 500m away from hatching. Then close the game and open when you're ready for 30min cathing spree.

For the time being, starpieces are worth using only during egg hatchings. After collecting enough 5/10 km eggs, I will start using S incubators on those 10km's. After ~1.6, the remaining 5km's will be thrown into the normal incubators, so that all eggs will be hatched within a few mins. I don't usually time the 2km's as they are constantly served by the infinite incubator.

Yes, that’s exactly how I aligned the 10k and 5 k eggs!
