Can't stand them. Lol Trainer Tips is for super casual players who enjoy watching him Vlog instead of actually playing. He's prob the coolest dude of the bunch no doubt. Don't like the reversal dude and bentimm1 since I was told they use trackers( congrats w/ all those Snorlax and Dragonites w/ some help. I'd like to see that their dex would look like w/o help) I don't know much about the Mystic7 dude but he seems like a Vlogger. In short I have no interest in watching people Vlog, but watching people talk about gym mechanics might be even more boring. So the only PokeGo content I watch on YouTube is of a few people in gym battles. I want to see what unique combos they use vs Blissey,Snorlax, and Lapras. I use to also watch to learn dodging timing.
Do you follow YouTube channels about Pokemon go?
I'm wondering what are your thoughts about channels like "TrainerTips" "Mystic 7" "Reversal" or "Bentimm1".
Personally I love TrainerTips and l think is one of the reasons why l keep playing every day. The way he explains the things (with 1st sources), his values and the effort he puts in every video l think it is inspiring even if you have never played pokemon go.

I mainly follow Trainer Tips and FuNKyShO, respectively because I enjoy his style and the depths of his informational / tips videos ; and because his videos comparing different movesets / mons are actually useful.
I am subscribed to others (Big Daddy Red, MYSTIC7, JonnoPlaysCoC, etc), but I don't watch every video, especially when they are just farming or in a car sniping rares (I mean... What's the point of watching that?) or when they just relay the latest news (which I usually am already aware of).
What I need to constantly follow a PoGo Youtuber is quality videos showing places I can't go to (Trainer Tips' travel to Japan for instance) and/or containing relevant content (FuNKyShO movesets comparisons).
But at the end of the day, except for the first two I mentioned, I mainly play the videos while doing something else, not really paying attention, unless the subject is interesting to me.
I only watch TrainerTips because he's basically been my companion since the beginning of this PoGo journey, he's a cool guy. I'm not usually into vlogs, but he makes it interesting with the informative stuff and the great editing and music.
I've watched some videos from the other but they seem like watered-down versions of the same thing, so no real point in following them too.
I like and think FuNKyShO is the most useful since his comparison videos clearly shows which mons do what and is not a simulator...
I also watch TrainerTips since his early vids probably taught me how to dodge.
If you follow here or silphroad, I assume any info presented on any channel, you would already know so it's not as helpful for me anymore strategically, but I usually watch as I do other things so it's entertaining and a good summary in case you miss stuff or were busy to follow the major websites of any changes.
Edit: I wanted to add that it'd be cool if you can "loan out" your Pokemon to other trainers to use so I'd send my C/SoB Eggs to FunkSho and he could've included it in his latest vid...that'd be helpful for all due to limited stardust of 1 trainer trying to power up so many mons to level 30.
The reason you watch TrainerTips is not his speciality on the game: his team sucks and his knowledge is even below the average of this site; you are just watching because he is a Vlogger.
Most YouTubers of PoGo are clickbaiting. The useful info I get from them is far less than what I get from other places including this site.
Though, nowadays, ppl are too lazy to read and extract info from text (unfortunate for GP). They just want to have their popcorn ready in front of their computer screen, and let those YouTubers feed whatever to them.
I currently only keep watching Trainer tips. It has set high standards for PoGo youtubers. I found his early guides really useful and constructive (for example the ones about battle system rebalance that was later introduced by Niantic). He always cites sources, etc if you want to research further. Nowadays it's more of a Vlog because of the lack of content in the game. So, I specially like those of his videos that discussed real game mechanics in the early days of his channel. But it's still handy for keeping up to date with changes in a quick way without spending long hours reading floods on forums.
Also watched Douglas Geo in his early days. He also was a beta tester (same as Trainer tips) but he stopped uploading videos in English and the quality of his content dropped. Still makes good videos of APK mining after updates if you can understand Portuguese
I wouldn't want to be too critical of anyone who is putting themselves out there and trying to make entertaining content... but in short:
Trainer Tips seems like a legit fan of the franchise who mixes info, gameplay, and gameplay philosophy (with some gratuitous lifestyle stuff) better than any I've seen. His only flaws, having to do with a lack of concision, come from his desire to produce videos almost every day - though I understand why he and the others do this.
Reversal works to bring forward new information quickly and he occasionally expresses a refreshing and genuine level of excitement about the game. His depth of information is less than TT's, but he also seems to be a big fan of the franchise and I like his accent.
Mystic7 is young and his core audience seems even younger. The quick-cut fast-talking style of video he uses has never appealed to me, but based on how common it is, it must appeal to many others. He does try to bring news to his audience quickly, like Reversal (and the others), and he likes to try generating excitement, but my guess is that his interest in the game will always only be correlated with its broader popularity.
Bentimm1 always seems kind of bored to me, even when he's exhibiting behaviors that should correlate with excitement. My guess is that he isn't that into the game, and when he drives around to reach tracker-found rare spawns because he thinks that's what his audience really wants to see, I can tell that he and I don't have the same philosophy about the game (and it's hard for me to believe him that that's what anyone wants to see).
Thanks! Glad my videos are useful. Pretty much a hobby of mine and some of the videos did also satisfied my own curiosity on the real world performance difference as compared to theoretical spreadsheets or simulations etc.
I also find it useful to share some of the common misconceptions, like some of the real world tests on high vs low IV performance etc ;)
