Do starters spawn too much? As opposed to Gen 1 at times they didn't spawn at all.

Have 2 Feraligators and working on a third. (one is at level 30 w/ WG/HP so not sure if I even want to catch Totadiles anymore) Crocnauts are very common. I would attribute that to being by a water biome but they're everywhere! I have Meganium and ignore Chikaritas since they are ball eaters. Bayleefsvand Chikaritas are very common. They have replaced Odish and Bellsprout imo. The hardest one for me is Cyndawuail not because it's rare, but rather because I only use Pokeballs and Greatballs on it! L O L

But as opposed to Gen 1 starters. These are spawning at the rate of Odish, Bellsprout, Poliwag, & and Growliths, so they're definitely not rare. Which in some ways takes away from the specialness of them..

All the Gen2 starters are rare where I live. The only ones I've seen at all are Chikorita.

....Darn... at least you'll have a lot of Meganium which are great prestigers.

I said they are the only ones I've seen, but I also said all Gen2 starters (thus incuding Chikorita) are rare around here. I don't have near enough candy to evolve one Meganium let alone a lot of them.

...Darn... My misunderstanding man! Wish you the best of luck on getting more!

This is the case for me too - the only gen 2 starter I've ever seen is Chikorita, and since the launch of gen 2 I've caught 3 of them total. OP - want to trade biomes for a week or two?

Wow, that's crazy. They're super rare around here, have hardly seen any. I have seen 1 totodile and 1 cyndaquil and that's all for gen2 starters. Gen1 starters are also super rare around here. I think since Gen2, I've caught 2-3 squirtles and one charmander.

They're definitely more common than Gen 1 starters, but the introduction of Pinap Berry makes them seem even more common than they actually are since you gather candies much faster.

They're slightly more common than gen 1 starters here, but I still don't see one every day. I'd say they're definitely not too common.

It seems like they're much more common in large cities, and harder to find in suburbs. They may be too common in large cities only. Not sure how common they are in rural areas. Do you live in a large city?

The one and only Seattle, Washington, but I've noticed them around alot even when I go out of the city. In Kirkland I saw a ton of Chikaritas and when I drove to visit family in Lynnwood I saw quite a few Cyndaquails.

Most of the gen 2 pokemon you are mentioning aren't ever seen in my town of 3300 in Wisconsin. I can go for a week without seeing a new gen 2 pokemon, and I'm not near having them all. (Level 34, and play every day)
