Do defenders lose favourite star?

I just noticed something. Some pokemon that I left in gyms recently lost the "favourite-pokemon-star". I know it's not me accidentily removing them because that was the case for multiple pokemon.

It's not the end of the world, but it's kind of annoying. Has annyone else noticed this to?

It's a known bug and yes it's real.

Its not a bug if you call it a feature. Well, maybe call it a bug someday.

Bugs irk me but the dodge bug makes me angry in real life. If they fail fixing all other bugs (except the "gyms suck" bug) I can't live with the dodge bug one. It's horrible.

Yup, you're not the only one, it's definitely annoying. Believe it or not, I've accidentally come close to transferring some of my best maxed-out Pokemon because of this subtle feature lol. So, I just keep a close eye on it now once my Pokemon returns from a gym.
