Ditto spawn rate?
Anyone know what percentage of eligible species that are Ditto?
I tried to get some figures together myself, but it is hard to draw any conclusions.
Ditto seen: 280 caught: 234 (difference have fled from Go plus)
I have caught a total of 2 by using plus (at bus rides mainly)
So I have caught 2 out of 50 from plus (normal ball straight throw).
I have caught about 20 000 eligible mons after the Ditto introduction, with about 90% catch rate. (about 2000 ran away)
Caught 232 Ditto manually.
So somewhere between 1/100 (if I caught almost every Ditto)
and 1/10 (if all those that ran away also were Ditto)
Anyone got a better estimate?
(they obviously turned up the spawn rate at the research introduction)

That I have a decent estimate of, and I have adjust for it.
When Ditto was introduced in November 2016 I had played in five months and captured about 20 000 in total, after one year 50 000 (end of July 2017), today 120 000.
I shaved off about 20% of the gen 1 catches which probably is a much more certain value than other uncertainties in this estimate.
My guess they mainly are:
- Variations in spawn rate, Niantic certainly changes that from time to time. At the introduction it seem to be 1/100, or less, of eligible species when we locally compared notes. Last month it has been way over that.
- Actual capture rate (depends on my throwing skills, balls used, number of throws before giving up, which all varies depending on my mood)
