Ditto prestige situation

Let's say if you have 5 Dragonites, 4 with 1400 CP and 1 with 1500 CP, and a Ditto with 455 CP in your lineup. Just an example, not a real battle simulation.

You prestige against 2 Snorlaxes, with 2000 and 2500 CP, respectively.

You use 3 Dragonites (all with 1400 CP) in the battle against the first Snorlax and win, 666 prestige and 66 XP earned.

You use the rest Pokémon (including the Ditto) in the battle against the second Snorlax and win, 254 prestige 25 XP earned.

Total: 920 prestige and 91 XP earned.

Ideas about this situation and gym battles:
Gym prestiging is a bad way to earn XP.

If you use Ditto, things might be different, the situation also applies to other match-ups.

Prestiging is still very hard.

The 8 CP difference (2508 CP transformed Ditto vs. 2500 CP Snorlax) in this situation results an 246 prestige and 25 XP difference, compared to the situation with a 2500 CP transformed Ditto vs. a 2500 CP Snorlax.

The formula isn't fair for most players. If the formula only applies for battled Pokémon in a battle, the first battle will result in 714 prestige and 71 XP, total 968 prestige and 96 XP.

Then don't use Ditto for prestige. If you don't have decent prestigers, get some Wigglytuffs. Walk it if you need, it's 1 candy/km. Or turn some low-ish level Eevee into Umbreon. Even a newly hatched Rhyhorn works well enough. So many options and you use Ditto for some reason. Duh.

Raticate and Furret make surprisingly good prestigers. Plus they are incredibly easy to attain. Also, at the right level, Pidgeotto/Pidgeot, and Noctowl work well. Literally anything at half CP can be serviceable as long the matchup is at least neutral. If you can get a type advantage/resistance, all the better.

Dittos aren't good as prestigers anyway. Plus they have limited use as defenders to prestige against since only a select few attackers are good at making use of Ditto's inflated CP after transforming.

Simply don't use Ditto as stated above.
