Not very much. I would however love to see a lv10 ditto tower.

And on that note are they a viable bubble strat defender?

My knowledge on ditto is if he's level 30, he turns into a level 30 "whatever" with their moveset. So if you are facing a level 28 dragonite with dragon moves, it could be useful to use and transform into a level 30 dragonite with dragon moves.

And i also want to see this Ditto gym, i have two high level dittos. Could you imagine, 10 level 30 dittos... how to attack that? You could use a pawn (weedle) but then when you defeat that, you would have to change out whatever you beat the weedle with before the next one transforms... headache

I think a Blissey would take out 5 or 6 of them.

Edit: actually 12 of them

But what if the level 30 ditto turns into a level 30 Blissey? You got problems

No you don't. He doesn't copy HP. What you get it 12 dead dittos at level 30 versus one level 30 Blissey.

What abput a level 30 ditto vs level 25 Blissey? Lol! I dk, sounded good

It would do a bit better but still...

I think ditto is fun to mess around with. But since it doesn't copy HP most any high HP attacker beats him up pretty badly. He would be a neat attacker but no one really puts in low HP defenders so its hard to break him out for that.

So we use our level 30 dittos to attack lower level defenders, that don't have high HP, but majority defenders have high HP... and now they're useless

Wigglytuff would go faster because it has higher attack and lower defense. Its high stamina keeps it tanky, but all the dittos would transform into glass cannons.

I have a high IV ditto, might experiment with it haha

I met some high cp dittos in gyms when they first came out. I did quite well with dragonite vs the ditto that turned into a dragonite. I took them out with very little damage in return. I also remembering using a jolteon with the same positive result.

Only fun use maybe if you had a low level Dragonite in a gym with DT/O, you can get your level 40 ditto to "copy" it, then save it for other mons in the gym...

Having such low HPs makes it more of a toy though...

Good to keep high IV ones for eventual breeding probably.

I have a 98% one with battles won 1, Its hard to get a X2 damage type advantage on him in a level 10 gym

On the few occasions when I saw a Ditto in a gym, I prestiged with Igglybuff and switched out to something near my Igglybuff's CP with a type advantage.

That being said, I'm not sure what the most efficient prestiging plan would be. Igglybuff just seemed interesting. Has anyone heard, or looked into which matchup would be the best (assuming the objective is to gain prestige with the Ditto matchup itself)?

Depends. If someone carelessly put a low level but highly evolved Dragonite, or low hp high attackers, then I bring along my near perfect Ditto to transform to that pokemon, to fight the next one. Cool add, but many fighters at times can replace it, especially after the second gen came out.

It has its use though. If I do not own a pokemon I can get his moves with the ditto too.

DIttos in gyms are worthless!

start the fight with a magikarp, turn that ditto in magicarp so null damage :))
