without go plus the distance is so inaccurate unless you go in a straight line most the time

I run all the time and yes i only get about half or less of my egg distance. I thought the go plus would help but it didn't. It helps conserve battery but distance isn't better. I thunk gps signal had to be strong and you have to go slow for it to track distance accurately.

You also might be running too fast.
Isn't there something like a 5mph cap on speed it accepts as "walking" for egg and buddy distance.

if your fit it isn't that hard to run over 10.5 km/hour it's a stupidly low speed cap

Yup, same problem here. Have ordered a Pogo plus, so I'm disappointed to read here that it doesn't help. An Apple Watch may be the only solution and that is stupidly expensive!
