I'll briefly include some info, almost level 36, my wife is level 25 but doesn't play. Mostly solo player who is an active person rather than a gamer, find a local Pokémon sub-Reddit and use their affiliated Discord. Just post an interesting raid if you see it, might get some bites--I'll equate it w/ an old school chatroom. Can sometimes help, but not gonna harm
Discord App?
Hi everyone. I've been playing from the beginning, currently level 35. Originally knew a couple others, they've all dropped out. I live in an area with plenty of gyms and raids, but (other than Sunday, right after the legendary release) lately most of the time I show up, there's no one there and, unless it's a level 2 raid or lower, it's a waste. When there are other people there, we always team up and have fun talking, so I'm trying to figure out how to make that happen more. A couple of times I've heard people say things like "oh I heard on Discord that there was going to be a group here". I researched Discord and it bills itself as a messaging app for gamers, but could someone please explain to me exactly how one uses it in the context of Pokemon Go? Thanks!!!

Make sure you silence the notifications b/c they will shake and buzz non-stop, just open the darn thing when you're actually wanting/looking for response/info. I haven't found too many players level 33 and up using it. Probably a younger thing, usually lost interest but want the easier/nice stuff associated w/ raiding
