Different types of raiders
Having raided solidly for a good few months before getting bored, i can put all the raiders I've ever met into different categories.
-Free thinkers. People like me, who speak our minds and can discuss the games problems in a rational way. We're the cool guys and we actually have interests outside of go. I recently took up karate! If you don't like what we say, we don't care.
-Nerds. People who love Pokemon, play Go hours a day. They are easy to spot, they wear clothes with Pokemon or marvel superheros on or maybe star wars, proud of their nerdyness. Many of these people are quirky and nice people but i've met one or two real a-holes from this group.
-Numpties. People who know f all abut Pokemon, they ask at every raid what pokemon to use, they need to read websites telling them what to do etc. if you struggle to understand how to play go you must be a proper numpty.
-Babies. People who cry if they don't get their own way. They will cry if someone doesn't wait for them at a raid. They will cry if someone disagrees with them. They will keyboard warrior people they don't like but will never say a word to your face. They can also be very manipulative as their behaviour provokes sympathy, infact they're compulsive liars. They're like children.
Averages Joes - Ordinary people who play go as a hobby. They look like your typical 9-5 office worker or Geography teacher. They'll often show up to raids in their smart work clothes then quickly dash off back to work Tend to be middle aged or near middle aged and have kids. Not very interesting people, they're just average.
-Queen bees. Like babies this group manipulate people to get their own way, but they're more like a cunning politician than a screaming child. They act like alpha males, running Pokemon groups, speaking down to people and telling them what to do. Best not disagree with these people if you want to remain part of the group, other people follow them like sheep.
Just about every go or former go player can be put into one of these categories.
