Did they not realize the new radar ruined the game for small city and rural players?
I got nothing on the nearby until I get close enough to show a far away stop and then it shows what is there. Great. A Snorlax could be 50 m. away and I would have no clue. Hardly any stops in my small city and Winter's coming anyway. I guess lvl 34 is the highest I will reach in this game.

I live in a large residential neighborhood next to a park. I used to sometimes see interesting Pokemon on sightings and go look at nearby streets for them. Now the only Pokemon I see are at the park, because that's where the Pokestops are. I can't see any in my neighborhood anymore. If they're going to change the radar like this, they really need to expand it so that it at least shows the information that it used to, in addition to the new information. Nine spaces on the radar isn't enough, and there should be a section for both normal sightings and the ones at Pokestops.
Another thing that I feel would improve the radar is if they added a way to filter unwated Pokemon from showing up. I don't need to know where the rattatas and weedles are.
They definitely need a way to toggle the setting so that you can actually view the "nearby" pokemon and not some pokemon at a park that will take 5 minutes to walk to.
This new system is bizarre. It is nice that I can see what pokemon are at the pokestop 5 minutes away and whether I want to go there or not but not so nice that I can't see what spawned down the block from me.
There is a nest/spawn site at the end of my block but who knows what spawns there as it doesn't show up anymore on the nearby list. So strange.
