Did Niantic really ban spoofer?

Yesterday there were new of a ban wave, but in twitter comments many ppl mentioned it was perhaps just an issue caused by unstable servers, so I dont know, if something actually happened to spoofer.

Seeing how many spoofers gone mad yesterday there definitely where some bans, the real question is: permanent or temporary? Only time can tell

According to this post it's probably true. At least with a portion of iPhone spoofers.
