Did Niantic Just Ruin the Gym System?
By making gyms easier to train up I believe they've destroyed any semblance of balance in my city. Training up used to be harder than beating down, but now that's reversed.
At any given time, most gyms are controlled by Mystic in my city, and most of those are trained up to level 10. The last few weeks my wife, daughter and I have been able to put able to put a small dent in their control by beating down level 10 Mystic gyms whenever we have the time and potions. We don't fight Valor gyms because all our potions and revives go toward fighting Mystic. We sometimes leave the blue gyms at level 3 or less to encourage other Instinct and Valor and players to attack the gyms as well.
Since we're badly outnumbered by Mystic players (most of whom use GPS hacks to train up the gyms from home), beating down gyms tends to be a losing battle and the gyms are soon reconquered and/or trained back up. The update Niantic seems so proud of appears to make the balance worse. It has me demoralized and far less eager to battle in gyms.

This same problem occurs in my city.
Rural location with 3 gyms, which being controlled by yellow team gps cheaters 24/7, saw it with my own eyes.
So there isnt any point to even conquer the gyms cus they are beated down and trained up from home.
So my solution was to level up yellow team account.
Maybe its illegal and against the rules, but so are gps hacks and none of these guys havent got banned even they have been reported multiple times.
Anyways, so i leveled up yellow team account and played it until level 24 and got some almost 2000cp vaporeons.
With these i can hold some spots in their gyms and get some coins.
Also i told this idea to other blue team members and they also leveled up yellow accounts and did same trick.
You can buy lures with these yellow accounts, at least.
Thou im buying myself incubators, cus im gona play this yellow account some day anyways.
