Did I snipe a cheater?
So a few weeks ago I was hunting in a park and came across a friendly gym being powered up from 9 to 10. I was curious who it was and looked around. There were no buildings blocking my view so I could easily see the few people in potential GPS range but no one was on their phone or anything. I despise snipers but I figured what the hell, must be someone using one of those GPS faking cheats from their house, and I grabbed the open spot.

I guess we all know what it is like to be sniped when prestigi? a gym so I never do it regardless. I have found that my biggest ? in this game are the other players on my team in my area. To discord get them by sniping is short sighted.
Many times I have thought a gyms was being spoofed only to find that it was a legit player. I myself often hide the fact that I am powering up a gym as it is less obvious and therefore have less chance of being sniped.
Yeah, I had a level 10 spot sniped from me once; 'killingcold', you a-hole. But for this one, I even waited a few minutes to see if anyone gave me a dirty look; it was obvious I was playing and standing dead center on the gym but no one said anything.
I believe I have actually seen this often, but usually there is a building in range for me to give the benefit of the doubt that I just can't see them. But I still think this may be a very common thing. After all, how often does it happen without anyone standing there to witness it? My only concern is the possability of it being a handicapped kid who can't make it to gyms.
How can you hide prestiging a gym? It has an animation on the map that shows someone is currently battling the gym.
