Deoxys announcement!
Just a few minutes ago I got a Pokemon go notification that Deoxys is coming to EX raids, when I clicked on it to get more info, the app didn't show me anything. I reset it, nothing.
Checked some Twitter feeds, nothing.
Anybody else get this?

Well, I guess this finally lays to rest all the speculation over what the next EX raid boss will be lol. That said, I'm a bit disappointed. Deoxys is an interesting Mon in the main series, don't get me wrong, but I don't see it being all that interesting (or useful) in Go. It's stellar attack stat is more than offset by nonexistent bulk and an (currently) awful movepool. Having 4 varying formes (normal, attack, defense, speed) is an interesting characteristic, but I think it's likely that we won't be able to change those formes. So if you catch Deoxys Speed Forme, you're stuck with that one.
That said, I'll be curious to see how things play out with our new EX raid overlord. I just hope Deoxys isn't the only EX raid boss for a full year like Mewtwo was, because I honestly don't expect any hype surrounding Deoxys to last as long.
It's been said in another Deoxys thread that last-minute move changes can happen. Something I read on the Silph Road said that one of the more recent apk updates contained assets associated with Meteor Mash. In addition to pointing further to a Beldum community day, Deoxys-A is capable of learning this move. Maybe if it's fast enough it can compensate somewhat for Deoxys-A's incredible lack of bulk?
I hope the moves currently given to it aren't final. With all the other powerhouses being given ideal moves it makes no sense to give Deoxys utter crap as "balance".
