Defense versus HP

Caught a 97.8% Ho-Oh 15/14/15, I'm very happy with it but the 14 defense somewhat irks me even though I know it can't be left in gyms. Which one is better defense or HP?

Does not matter. What matters is: you have a 98% Ho-Oh!

CP-wise your Ho-Oh will reach 3882 CP. If the 14 was Sta-IV:3880 CP.
You always want to balance the weakest base stat of a pokémon species, which in Ho-Oh's case is HP.

You may don't reach a breack point on defense, but that will happen once in a thousand battles

Your catching a 98% Ho-oh has made me more determined than ever to find that elusive 100% Ho-oh. I did it with Lugia, gotta do it for Ho-oh, too!
