decrease revive drops = worse gyms?

do people think the revive nerf was a little to much?
revive drops have apparently been halved to 2.7% so about 1/37 spins which is a fair bit of work if you plonk yourself in half a dozen gyms in a day and I think it will result in one or both of these compensatory behaviors.
1) everyone puts transferable trash in gyms (more)
2) people can't afford to turn over gyms and hence they stagnate.

Unfortunately I already started to do number 1. That said, the increased ball drop rate could really help rural players.

I did use high level wild pokemon as gym fodder when the gym system first changed and there was a lot more activity. Pulled back on that when I realized I was throwing away potions and revives by the dozens at a time because of the horrible raid reward nerfs.

Aside from raid rewards, gym spins are still dropping potions and revives at a higher rate. If I were ever to drop below 100 max potions and maybe 60 max revives, I would go sit at one of my gold badge gyms and spin for a hour while IV checking.

Half the amount of revives is perfect. Maybe I'll don't need to throw them out anymore, finally.
