Dear Niantic, Get rid of Lv4 Raids
- Keep lv 1 and 2 for beginners.
- Keep lv 3 for beginners to cooperate and older players to solo.
- Keep lv 5 for all players to cooperate.
If anything, lv4 raids are an incentive for players to multi-account. I know there are many other reasons to do so. But still, this raid lv is redundant.

Level 4 raids are really nice for groups of 2-4 players to do a raid with decent rewards and a nice catch without having to organise a group of 6+ average players to take down a legendary raid. This is especially relevant right now with the boost to Mewtwo HP. Just because you don't find a use for an option, doesn't mean it should be removed.
Because you need more than one account but you don't need a lot of accounts, 2-4 depending on counters. It's a lot of work for 1 or 2 players to make enough multis to take down a legendary, much less work for them to make enough multis to take down a tier 4. That's the logic I see in the assertion.
Although by this line of thinking, hard tier 3s also encourage multiaccounting since it's probably less work to make a level 30 multi with some ok attackers than it is to get an optimal team on one account.
Before the T5 HP buff wasn't that more dependent on the specific boss and not so much the raid tier? Both required the same amount of DPS to finish the fight and a decent handful of T5s are ranked as easy-intermediate trios. Two people with two accounts each seems like enough to get the job done. In theory anyway, the closest I've come to short-manning T5s was a quad Latias and a 6 person Regice the day it came out with some less optimized raiders.
Yesterday after work I had like one hour to find a raid in order to use my free raid pass (I didn't want to waste it). Along with my 4 friends (2x40lvl, 2x38lvl) we agreed that T5 Mewtwo is too risky so we were looking for T4. Suddenly, Snorlax raid appeared - bull's eye. We did it and everyone was happy (one dude caught 100% :p). That's why I think T4 are ok - if you have limited number of people for example 3-5 they are perfect. Besides, all of current T4 raid bosses are useful: Snorlax and Lapras are good defenders, Golem is a decent rock Pokémon (especially if you don't have CD Tyranitar) and Rhydon along with its candies will be needed when Gen4 finally comes in.
Tier 4 raids are perfect for those non-legendary Pokémon that are hard to find. Snorlax is perfect, tyranitar is perfect, and I hope they add Salamance or Dragonite to tier 4. They help build a team to bring down tier 5s, and when Aggron was released, everyone was trying to take him down. They are challenges for small groups, or dous, and perfect for when you only have 2-3 people around. If anything, they should get rid of teir 1 raids, and make better bosses for 2-3.
Try doing a level 5 raid in a rural area - you can't, I'm level 37, have loads of great counters but it's impossible without others. Tier 4 is the highest I've ever managed and I'm happy to do that. If you don't like it don't do it, much as I ignore level 1 raids unless I need the specific candy. I'll swap you having to ignore level 4 raids with my having to drive 30 miles and pay extortionate parking to try a level 5 with a load of strangers who may or may not show up. My heart bleeds, no really it does. It's weeping tears of actual blood for your immense hardship in having to do nothing.
Yes yes, because we all never want to be able to raid tyrnaitar ever again, or any other the other tier 4's that machamp is good agaisnt when the gyms are stacked to coutner fighting types. Yes 100% agree, get rid of the tier 4's.
Are you serious? Tier 4 raids are arguably better than tier 5's. legendaries require massive RC input to power up, most teir 4's give more than the 3 catch candy and because they arent tier 5s, you cant take them down and get max rewards because theres not 16 people raiding at once. This was especially so when the regi's were present, ther 4's were at their peak popularity because they offered great pokemon.
