Deadline for Mewtwo

Was organizing my team for my EX Raid on Saturday, and this question sparked my curiosity. Do you guys think Mewtwo, as a unique T5 raid boss, will ever have a deadline? Mewtwo has been around longer than any other legendary combined, so far. I can definitely understand if it stays as a raid boss for a long time, since Mewtwo is not easily accessible, and it is the only legendary that requires certain conditions to be satisfied to even interact with the genetic Pokémon. What do you guys think?

I'd say summer at the earliest. There's still a fair number out there who don't have a Mewtwo, and the perpetual hunt for EX passes is still making Niantic a lot of money, so my guess is they'll milk it as long as they can.

I think they should keep him permanent but add new ones. Like maybe go ahead and add Deoxys into the mix. I dunno how much outrage this would cause though.

I would be pissed if i got invited to a def or speed deox instead of a mew2. Especially if i dont have a mew2.

I hope so, or atleast make it much rarer, with perhaps an EX raid every two months or something like that.

Now that it seems a bit more clear as to how to get invites and the fact that more and more seem to manage to trigger a raid, the chance of getting a Mewtwo is better than ever.
It's great to get the first one and even the 2nd one. But I suppose the third and fourth is slightly less interesting (unless you're still chasing one with good IVs).

In the end it's going to be like with the Legendaries, people won't mind getting another one, but can easily skip the raid.

Very true. The last thing people would want is for Mewtwo to be as common as the other T5 bosses are. That would suck the excitement out of getting a Mewtwo.

Only if everyone has one. If not it will be next to impossible to get one.

Chances are better than ever but still extremely low for many, with high variance across regions. The advice on this site for those in high-density areas is literally to go outside of the high-density areas to try to trigger EX raids, which is not feasible for a lot of us. I'm still sans Mewtwo and I know lots of others as well. Niantic needs to give this system much more time (hoping for a complete overhaul has been way too much to hope for from the start) to allow everyone to get a shot at it.
