Murkrow is good for practicing your excellent curveballs. Usually one or two excellent curveballs with even a normal pokeball will catch any Murkrow, and if you miss the circle and they run away, who cares. Plus they don't attack or jump as often as some things (looking at you, Spinarak and Rattata), so I actually find them less annoying to catch, since that means I don't have to throw three or four times just to even hit them once. Although I do sometimes ignore them if they have like 900 CP or so. I'm currently at 493 Murkrow caught out of 615 seen.

Dark Gold Medal a joy and a pain
Finally, after months of gen 2 (and after the first week of wasting balls with the ridiculous catch rate of Murkrow I decided to avoid them like Spearow) I have 200 dark catches. Until TTar was in gyms I didnt care about the catch bonus for dark and FINALLY I NEVER HAVE TO CATCH ANOTHER MURKROW!
