Tyranitar is still gonna do better, IV's aren't as influential as that.

Best hope for your Feraligatr is hope they buff the starters one day!

Tyranitar is better. I'd still power up the Feraligatr to the top :) Nothing feels better than a powered up pokémon that you like finding use, even if not 100% optimal.

Like others said, Tyra will still be better. Feraligatr fits nowhere in the meta, he isn't the strongest bite user nor the strongest water type.

Feraligatr has lower attack, doesn't get STAB like Tyranitar, and most importantly doesn't resist any of Mewtwo's moves like Tyranitar, Gyarados, and Dragonite.
