Damageoutput when Attacking a Arena

This pages write the damage when atacking a arena is determined by the dps of the move and maybe the trainer level, not by the cp.
Maybe its not the trainer level, i think this could be just the attack stat of the pokemon. Are there new information about this?

Unfortunately no exact formula has been spotted yet. I think too that it seems reasonable to use the attack stat of the attacking Pokémon against the defense stat of the defending Pokémon. I do think that the CP value exists to let casual players know which Pokémon is stronger without analyzing each stat, but I expect the game won't use the CP value, an aggregate value of attack, defense, HP, to make combat calculation.

I can't tell if you've seen the "Damage Calculations" section on the Combat page or not, but there it says this, making clear it's not necessarily authoritative:

"By modifying the original Pokémon game's damage calculations from level cap 100 to level cap 40, Qmike has estimated how damage is calculated in Pokémon GO:

Base Damage = (2*Level + 4) / 100 * (Attacker's_Attack / Defender's_Defense) * Move_Power + 0.25
Other modifiers that multiply onto this damage:

STAB (1.25)
Type Advantage (1.25)
Type Disadvantage (0.8)
Critical (1.5)
Random modifier (random number from 0.85-1)
Note that this formula is not confirmed to be in the game."

Whatever the formula, the game takes the attacker's attack and the defender's defense stats into the equation (the "CP" of a pokemon is really just an aggregate score summarizing a pokemon's attack, defense, and HP, I pretty much mention this in every answer I give).

The "level" mentioned in the above-hypothesized formula almost surely refers to the level of the pokemon (which is invisible but can be inferred from knowledge of your own level, the pokemon's CP bar, somewhat, and stardust power up costs), and not your own trainer level.

Thanks you both for the answers. I probably overread the formula in the combat article.
