I've been solo trying Alakazams with my 5 Tyranitars, 3 B/C and 2 B/SE. Today I got C/ShB...yeah couldn't beat it, kinda close--my phone lags and spins a lot and I needed too much luck. On the fourth try someone popped into lobby and it was beat. Few hours later I solo raided Gengar Hex/ShB--took me 4 times, but I got it w/ 17secs left. A couple times I tried 2 glass cannons, fainted too soon. Once, 5 TTs and a B/HP Gary at end, not quite enough damage. Last time started with an Alakazam, then just took a lot of Tyranitar hits. I think I like playing w/ B/SE better (esp with my spinning phone) and the computer seemed to prefer picking the B/SE
Is Crunch really on par with Stone Edge?
I have four high level Tyranitars. One of them has Bite/Stone Edge , the other three are Bite/Crunch. The Bite/Stone Edge one feels like a complete destroyer against almost any mon. The other three don't feel anywhere near as powerful. I realize they may be more useful against Mewtwo but overall is Crunch really as good as Stone Edge? Btw the Bite/Stone Edge and one of the Bite/Crunch are both 98% iv with perfect attack stat, so they are very similar.

I like crunch due to the low energy cost, especially because bite doesn't rack in energy too quickly
B+SE is nice because of the smooth dodging it allows for but I also like B+C because I can fire crunch off much more frequently (even if I have to tabk some damage) and because it follows bite in terms of Super effectiveness matchs-ups, like you mentioned
I like both equally
I like crunch, but it will be much more enjoyable to use when they fix the glitch where the energy bar briefly fills up again after you launch a charge move, and then disappears again. With a slow multi-bar move like crunch, it is a huge distraction to not know whether you've successfully launched the move or not.
