So, I'm left wondering if crit chance is ever going to be implemented in Pokémon battles ... moves like Dragon Claw and Stone Edge, for example, would instantly become that much better if the respective 25% and 50% crit chance multipliers were finally implemented.

Anyone have any thoughts on this? How long are we going to have to wait until this relatively simple feature is finally put into the game.

that would be the most abusive idea ever. not a good idea to implemet a crit rate in this game that would make the game imbalance making the dragonite top off all bcoz of that crit of yours . making other moves like pschic making other mons defends low will be a beast tooj

Well, increased crit chance is already in the code for many moves, I just mentioned a couple of them.

It's not an idea I had, it's something that already exists. I'm just wondering if it's ever going to actually happen.

Look at the moves table on Silphroad again, cause I think you are who is dreaming. And relax, bro.

And I think critical hits would be an interesting idea, but they need to be reconsidered after the CP recalculation and having in mind the actual metagame to add new interesting and not unbalanced posibilities.

... because losing your prestige fights due to lag or that dodge glitch aren't enough ways to lose a fight you shouldn't... Now you can lose because that Dragonite happened to roll a critical on his Hyper Beam.

In case it wasn't clear, I think critical hits would be a terrible thing to add.

Critical hits would favor the attacker because they are using more attacks so they would get more chances at crits.

If only charge moves can critical hit (as silph suggests) it wouldn't be much of an imbalance. The prestige formula could always be modified to compensate. (I think that the prestige drop formula for enemy attack needs work anyway, but that is another story.)
