My fifth evo of Larvitar was not a failure. I evolved a B/SE Tyranitar. My previous 4 had all been whatever Larvitar I hatched and 2 of them were below 88%. Is this set markedly better for attacking than crunch? In general I prefer the matched sets. How well will he do powered up to 35 against a Blissey?

But that's not all. I'm ina grass/water biome. I've never heard anyone that plays around here claim to have ever seen a Larvitar. Right after my evo above one spawned right on my location at work. I tried to pinap him and he fled but it feels really good to know that they are here in this biome even if they are ultra rare. Gives me reason to keep searching. Has anyone else seen any Larvitar in a grass biome?

Until today I would have never believed it was possible. I've still never seen a Chansey, Porygon, and other types here in the wild even during the events. Rock/ground stuff virtually never spawns here in general.

Seen it once in a grass biome. But yeah, really rare.

Tyranitar will do fine it'll take less damage from Blissey than Dragonite, but also isn't as destructive as one either. Mad jealous of that moveset though.lol

God knows the RNG gods tried my patience to get it. I hope you have better luck.

Haha thanks man I've come to love my B/C Tyranitar. These 125 candy evolutions really test your patience..

Congrats! 5th Evo? Geezus. Where do you find Larvitars? What type of biome? I've only seen/caught 3 since Gen 2 came out in random places when traveling. I am relying on hatches and walking to even get me my first Tyranitar....

I hatched 21 while running full incubator sets since the gen 2 release. I've caught zero in the wild. I also walked about 700Km with him. I've been going all out to get one and now that I have I'm in cruise mode since that was my last real goal for now. I'll probably run 3 or so incubators now and walk a hell of a lot less.

Sub-urb / water biome here and never witnessed a mareep / larvitar. I've been told there have been rare spawns of Snorlax, Lapras and Chansey in the past. To me, there is a larger chance I see Ho-oh flying than to find those in wild anyway.

Here Mareep happen but they are very rare. I have caught three. Snorlax isn't terribly rare here, in that same time frame as of Mareeps I've think I've caught 6 or more of those. Only saw one Lapras during the recent event, zero before or after. No Chanseys.

Yikes. 5th? Hearing that makes me even more grateful and glad my first one came out good. Iron Tail/Crunch for gym placement. 96%, too. Working on getting candies to power him up now (will take months and months lol) and then go on to work on evolving my 93%.
