So I have noticed a couple more things that hurt minority team players and solo players. One I noticed right away...feeding berries. Being on the minority team, there aren't many gyms to start with. When there are gyms, the pokemon seem to never need berries, or only need one. I think it is a combination of our gyms not lasting long, and team members competing to feed berries. I have only been able to feed pokemon 158 berries. I can't even get rid of my stupid bananas. I am to the point of tossing berries again. I don't know what the fix to this is. If I take a gym, or put a pokemon in, I can use a grand total of 1 berry. This new gym system gives me literally 5000 stardust less a day.
Another thing that started today was private raids. I understand that might be a feature needed for events or legendaries in the future, but right now, it is just screwing solo players again. The best thing about the raids is that all the teams could work together, which is important for a level 3 and 4 raid. However today, there was a group of people to do a level 4 raid, and apparently they did a private one, leaving no one to help me out. So I was at a raid, at a time when there were enough people, but was still not able to do it. I only suspect this will get worse as time goes on. This will lock solo players out of level 4, and many level 3 raids. I think this is another well-intended feature that is going to hurt a lot of players.

I am on team Instinct and I have real trouble finding gyms to put my mons into and to feed berries to the other mons.
I still take down enemy gyms - but what is the point, as I am just cashing in the coins for them.
As a solo player, I have not yet participated to a multi-player raid. I have won a couple of level 1 or 2 raids, and nearly solo'ed a level 3 Jolteon (but not quite).
Niantic will have to revise the gym reward and motivation system.
It makes sense to not do a level 1 or 2 raid with other members since you may get less rewards (they need to do the analysis), but definitely less balls if you don't do as much damage and that's sorta impossible if you are on the minority team...
As for raid level 4, Unless the few people know what they are doing, usually in a denser area, there are usually too many people and most are solo so they should be willing to join the public group...

Once you can solo all/most level 3, I think level 4s attract too much attention (at least when the egg hatches) that it should be easy to find a group if you're in a half dense area.
For a Level 4 raid that is pretty sorry that the people did not ask you to join when they saw you alone. Thats not Niantics fault thats people being rude. I live in a small town and have done a Level 1,2, and 3 alone and with 1 other person but cant find people for the 4 star because I know that to be safe I want 4 people espescially if idk how good they are....maybe tomorrow.
