No Mareep either, not even in the radar.

By the way my eggs are still 2 km to walk, does it mean I have to finish those started before the event first?

Niantic forgot to set their alarm clock

The flock have just showed up! Better late than never

Anyone see a change in eggs? I had two 5ks in before the event but they have not changed / ie distance still shown as 5K and not 1.25 so maybe accelerated rate is only for eggs begun during event.

Anyone brave enough to put a new 10K into an incubator and try it out?

I put one in 6 minutes after event started, still normal distance.

Sorry to hear that, hope it was not a 10K ... not sure how Niantic can compensate you for that. I bet they will extend the event, but lets hope your recent egg gets quartered.

Unfortunately it was a 10K. But it was super incubator, so not so bad...
I've emailed Niantic support.

Only eggs that you put in during the event registers for the lower incubating distance. The other eggs keep their 2km, 5km, or 10k distance.

The only point of this Community Day is to cycle thru 2k and 5k eggs to hopefully find some 10ks that you can hatch while double candy is still active. That and getting people to buy/use incubators when they realize they have 7km left on a 10k at the start.

In theory, yes you are correct, but we have not yet seen any sign that the acceleration has happened yet. We are nearly an hour into the event and no one seems to have accelerated hatches.
