Community Day in Michigan

Me and my Brother are visiting Port Huron Michigan together and will be there for the community day. Are there some players playing there? Where is a good place to play hunting for shiny Charmander? Detroit probably? At what time exactely will the community day start in Michigan? Would be nice to get some feedback from Michigan natives. Maybe even from Port Huron. Thanks!

Michigander here, a popular place by me is The Village strip mall in Rochester Hills, there's 2 gyms and double digit Pokestops, good place to just walk up and down the stretch while continuously catching and restocking balls. Also a bunch of restaurants to sit down and refuel while still swiping/catching
