Community chat

Hi guys,
How do you think why there is no community chat in the PoGo (like in Ingress) and is it possible that it will be introduced one day.

Possibly not because POGO is more oriented towards kids. It's also a good reason to keep player actions much less trackable by other players than in Ingress.

I would imagine that would quickly devolve into a shitstorm and would need serious moderation like alot of games that have a such a function. Even if it were there, people are more likely to continue using established and more developed platforms such as Facebook, Whatsapp, and Discord.

I'd be glad if they at least added a help icon when someone's at the gym asking for help with a raid. Our Facebook group can't organize on time it seems, I don't want to install Whatsapp, and I haven't seen any Discord links for our group. I have not won not even the chance to see a legendary in the catch screen, because there's nobody else I know personally that could help.

Do you ever run into Pokemon Go players? If you do, it might be worth to set up your own discord server.

I rarely spot any, only spoke to one. Anyone else generally does not talk even if we both see we're playing the same game. We're generally afraid of being too open about playing PGO here. Some people here have a stick up their other end and want to threaten us for playing this game. I mean look at this colorful language: https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonGORo/comments/6hhved/imibagpulainpokemoniivostri/
