Is the Commons .... too comon

Bad luck maybe? Spawns seem normal to me.

My impression is that since the water event ended, there are now more Gen 1 commons (e.g. pidgeys, rats, spearows).

You aren't imagining it. I had an insane amount of Swinubs, Snubbuls, Spinarak around my apartment but now that water event ended its back to Ratata, Pidgey, Paras primarily like it was before Gen 2 update.

I've been thinking this for weeks now too...so many junk commons. Oh well, makes the good finds that much better.

I think the decreased the overall spawn rate after valentines and because you tend not to make a count of the number of commons you can't be bothered catching you might just notice it as less uncommon/rares.

On the upside I think the inceased the dratini spawn rate though as my candy supply of these has improved.

Yes...it is becoming boring.

I think Niantic is still somehow basing spawns on amount of traffic, event happens and spawns get rarer but when it's over they get really bad. Stuff is always randomly appearing but at such a slow rate it usually isn't worth keeping the app open.
