Christmas event ?
Will there be a Christmas event ? Should I keep my candy/ stardust for the event? ( if there will be any event ) and should I keep my pokemon to evolve then? What do you think?

What's the point of just keeping the good ones? Do you think there will be something like gain extra levels for Pokémon when evolving? I don't think so. It's probably going to be something like eggs hatch in half the normal distance, eg. 10 km takes 5 km, 5 km takes 2,5 km and 2 km takes just 1 km.
I have currently about 130 evolutions that I'm holding in hope of extra xp/candy/stardust or whatever. I am pretty sure that there will be an event, we just don't know yet what it's going to be.

This would also indicate to an event happening soonish.

I expect there to be something. Nobody knows what to expect. So I keep my next mass evolution. I keep 10 km & 2 km eggs. Also five disposable incubators, each with one use left, in case I need to hatch in a hurry. As many coins as I can get my hands on, in case I need to expand storage or buy more incubators or some crazy new kind of berry. I am also postponing evolutions with potential new outcomes like Slowpoke and Eevee. Some of these are conflicting - I could use more storage space now due to all the flying rats I am hoarding. And 10km eggs are coming in slow because I am not buying incubators at this time. And I am most probably not preparing correctly for what is going to happen.
In any case, I expect Christmas to be low key, with New Year being the Big One. My money is on a wave of Mewtwo appearances at local midnight rolling around the world. Catch it between 23:00 and 24:00 or wait another year...
