Charmander & Charizard question
I caught a Lv30 Charmander this morning but his attack stat is very low - not too bad over all (68.9%) - HP 15, Def 13 and ATT a mere 3. I've got a couple of level 20 84ish IV Charmanders with more balanced stts, but I'm tempted for the dust and candy savings just to evolve this one (and hope for a decent moveset).
Charmander candies are normally rare in my neck of the woods (my only other (weak moveset) Charizard took 100k of buddy walking.
I also caught my second Charizard of the event (the first was strictly candy fodder) but this one is WA/FT just above average (51.1% with 13ATK) only 642cp. Not worth powering up very far, but I wondered about powering up to around 1000cp for use as a prestiger. Worth the small dust/candy cost or just send him off to Prof Willow?

It only takes 16 candies and 12k dust to get the Charizard to 1000 CP. If you think that's not a big price to pay to be able to use a Charizard in gym battles, go for it.
As for evolving the Charmanders, it takes 66 candies to go from 20 to 30. Input the IV values into the CP calculator on this site and see if the difference in stats is a big enough deal for you to spend 66 candies on.
Since you're probably going to use it for attacking only, the listed CP value isn't that important, and damage values being rounded means that the difference in attack IVs won't make a signifcant difference in actual battle.
