Charge Move ratings
Hey peeps. I have a question regarding moveset ratings. Using murkrow as an example but this happens quite often with other pokemon:

Both dark charge moves cost 50 energy with the difference between them being Foul Play dealing 70 damage and having a cd of 2secs while Dark Pulse deals 80 and has a 3sec cd. In theory FP would be better because it has higher DPS and ratings seem to be based on this but if we use the charge move right after hitting 50 energy isnt DP better since it will probably take more than 3 secs to reach 50 energy again or does a charge move CD prevents quick attacks too thus making chargemoves with big CDs alot worse? Hope i managed to express my question clearly lol sry if i didnt. Thanks

Looks like you're missing everything. Ye, the PoGO meaning of "cooldown" is a little off, but it's not hard to figure out if you have ever battled like 2 or 3 times. And yes, cooldown here basicly means cast time. I have no idea where did you take those number from. Unless you're talking about the bar in the charge move detail. If that's the case, there are 3 numbers. If you add them all up, this will result in a given charge move CD, becauase:
- first number means for how long "nothing happens" during the CD (you can mostly notice this in defenders behaviour, when you "see" them using charge attack
- 0,7 sec. Yellow flash. Time to dodge. Damage window. Every move has 0,7 as the second number. Rings a bell?
- nothing happens. Literally. Just some extra time you need to wait before the game assumes you've stopped using your charge move.
That is what those numbers mean. Sum it up, you have the cast time of a charge move. If damage difference is small but cast time difference is big, the faster move is better.
